Retirement is a Journey, so join us!
Retirement isn’t always predictable. Which stage of life is? As they say, life is full of surprises, and that’s been our personal experience with retirement so far. But we’re here to say that’s just fine. It’s part of the adventure that makes life (and retirement) energizing, rewarding and memorable. With a positive attitude and a good sense of humor, the retirement years can be one of the best stages of life.
Everyone has different expectations and dreams about retirement, and we honor that with this blog. Whatever your dreams, our advice is to stay flexible. Things change. For us, retirement didn’t happen when or how we expected. But guess what? We couldn’t be happier. The arrival of our first (and only) grandchild rocked our world. Our vision of retirement quickly changed, with living near the grandbaby taking priority over a life of fun in the sun, or whatever else we may have expected. While it’s not the retirement life we imagined, we’re loving it and feel very blessed.
